Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role supports the day-to-day operations of our agricultural facility, working closely with the Location Manager and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience in customer service, and a willingness to assist with operational tasks such as weighing trucks and supporting feed department activities.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role supports the day-to-day operations of our agricultural facility, working closely with the Location Manager and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience in customer service, and a willingness to assist with operational tasks such as weighing trucks and supporting feed department activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers; provide professional and courteous customer service in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Assist the Location Manager with scheduling, inventory management, reporting, and general administrative tasks.
- Accurately weigh inbound and outbound trucks using scale systems; ensure all documentation is completed and entered correctly.
- Use Agvance software to enter orders, track inventory, generate invoices, and manage customer accounts.
- Support the feed department as needed, including assisting with order entry, inventory, and customer communication.
- Maintain organized and accurate files, both digital and physical.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations and a safe, clean working environment.
- Previous administrative experience in an agricultural or similar environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Agvance software or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist with operational tasks such as weighing trucks and supporting feed-related duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or training in agriculture or business administration is a plus.
- Office setting with interaction in feed warehouse, when needed.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Seasonal flexibility in hours may be required during harvest.
